Geneva Motor Show 2011 - 3rd - 13th March 2011
It would be hard to miss the looming Geneva Motor Show if you have even the slightest interest in cars. So with Geneva almost with us we thought we should drag together all the threads of information from around Cars UK in to one place so you can see what to expect. It’s nice to see we’re getting some proper high-end stuff at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
Lexus hasn’t even started production of the LFA supercar yet, but it’s already unveiled a limited edition version – the Lexus LFA Nurburgring. Built to celebrate the LFA’s entry into the 2010 Nurburgring 24 Hours race, just 50 versions of this track-focussed supercar will be made. The tweaks and changes aren’t radical: the front-mounted 4.8-litre V10 has 10 bhp more (up to 562bhp) and the automated manual ‘box now shifts quicker (gear changes are down from 0.2 to 0.15 seconds) though the 3.7sec 0-62mph time and 202mph top speed remain the same.
Jaguar has revealed their C-X75 Hybrid Supercar will get a 500bhp 1.6 litre engine and just 200 will be built. On sale 2014. It’s almost two years since the Jaguar C-X75 hybrid hypercar was revealed with a futuristic wish-list of a gas-turbine powered hybrid car to mark Jaguar’s 21st century renaissance.
